Mixing Prints: Animalistic and Floral | Philippines OOTD

Hello, another post from Philippines!!!

There are days that you just want to mix prints together to create a new look and that's exactly what I did on a fine day in Philippines during my one month stay there. Rule of thumb is to use bigger prints against a busy one. Like my top which is pretty busy and tight, it works wonderfully with my skirt with big flower prints. And with that you are done! Credits to my brother Grundy for all the pictures.

What I'm wearing: DKNY top, gifted skirt from my sister, Officine sandals, Piperlime necklace

Truly I'd like to thank God for all the providence I have experienced during my vacation in Philippines. I had so much fun reuniting with my family, friends, church pals and experience what my life was before USA. It is inconvenient but I looked past it and it allowed me to be reminded of how it is growing up in the beautiful Philippines. It is nice to know that I have another set of family there whenever I feel like coming home, I know I would be received in the warmest welcome.

Blue Midi Skirt | Philippines Vacation 2016

A happy bluish day to you my friend. Wow, what a vacation! I stayed 36 days in my mother country, Philippines for business (dental work) and pleasure (gallivanting with my family!). I didn't get to have lots of outfit photo shoots, since I'd rather take a vacation, which means barely having social media around me except to upload photos and videos in my personal Facebook. I did shoot a few with my awesome brother, Grundy who loved my zoom lens so much (I think that's rather awesome). And the fun part was the place, it's just right outside our house! It's always so green in Philippines with it's humidity so everything is lusciously green, everywhere you look. Perfect for backdrops for quick shoots like these.

Most of the clothing I'm wearing in these pictures are from bazaars in Ayala Mall and with my sister Glad's online fashion boutique! A little breakdown - printed blazer that came right out of my sister's online shop. Skirt is from a mall find, unbranded but super awesome! The neoprene fabric is to die for and this midi skirt is like one of my favorite skirts ever. I paired it with my peep toe brown sandals from Carlos Santana and simple Forever 21 black tank top to battle the humidity in Philippines. I have to mention, my hair was made by one of the bible women at our church, Chernalyn so kudos to her, I now have a pretty hairdo to complement my preppy look. Necklace is from Jewelmint which I parted and left there in Philippines. Out with the old, in with new like I would like to say.

I'm still praising God for all the goodness He alone provided for my trip back and forth internationally and all the wonderful events that took place while I was there. Right now, I'm missing everything there, from my family, to the simplistic lifestyle to the food, to friends I dearly love and so much more. I will be talking about more details in my next blog posts - gaaahhh, I wish I was back!!!
