DIY Chalkboard Marquee Sign Display

Here's a rad mashup of two awesome DIYs. A marquee and chalkboard to highlight your quotations, sayings and whatnots. It is fast easy and affordable. Most of my materials either came from the dollar store (lights, chalk and marking tools) and thrift store (picture frame). The bigger the frame, the more you can play with it. I forgot to add ping-pong balls in the video so it is optional, other than that, it looks incredible with or without it. Just cut a small cross in a ping-pong ball to insert into the lights and instantly you have globe lights!

MATERIALS:

Large picture frame w/ inner white border - Preferably with couple of layers to play with. If not, use pre-cut poster board or foam board.
Exacto knife/craft knife/cardboard box knife
Christmas lights - Dollar stores carry them and comes with 20 lights. Ideal for smaller frames. If you have larger photo frames, mass retail store lights come with 100 lights very cheaply.
Pencil - For marking.
Scissor
Staple gun/nails and hammer - This is optional if you need more closure in the back to hold all the layers.

It's The Holiday Season | Couple OOTD

What he's wearing: Sahara dress shirt, Cambridge Classics vest, Sahara pants, ECCO shoes, Platinum designs necktie
What I'm wearing: eShakti dress, Michael Kors, cardigan, Karen Scott boots, eShakti belt, Runway On A Dime necklace, Target tights and socks

It's the holiday season, so whoop-di-doo and dickory-da! Mr. Andy Williams was absolutely right. Time to be cheery and forget about present problems because everything comes to a standstill when Christmas time is here. We encountered a problem last Sunday when hubby was rushed to the hospital, but by the grace of God, it wasn't too big of a problem. We are so happy and blessed to be surrounded by wonderful people that continually pray for us. Here we are are enjoying despite that for in life we must continue on. So it's time for another fun and preppy gentleman and lady style for our Christmas photo! We took these photos in the hospital garage, for we love the Spanish iron works everywhere. Hubby of course love his sweater vest and donned red black once again while I wore a very cute retro dress from eShakti. Christmas time is here so have yourselves a merry, jolly Christmas everyone!!!

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

Preppy Promenade | Gentleman Style

What he's wearing: Stafford jacket, Dan Sen dress shirt (bought in Philippines), Izod pants, ECCO shoes, Nordstrom necktie, Mad Hatter Compay fedora

Business meets academia with this manly ensemble from the husband. These past weeks, he has been incorporating his sharp suits with dress shirts and comfortable footwear for an everyday look that is still preppy and stylish. This power outfit commands attention. At the end of the day, we received a handful of comments. A mix of cream, white, light blue with navy blue lends a harmonious color play added with red accessories that is adaptable for the holiday season. Kudos to you hubby! Love it! :D

DIY Christmas Wreaths | Using Household Items You May Already Have!!!

Style #1: Clothespins Wreath

Style #2: Tablecloth & Tissue Wreath

Style #3: Scarf Wreath

Hello fellow DIYers. Christmas wreaths are one of the most traditional way to spruce up our homes for the holidays. If you fancy making a wreath from scratch, you can make your own clothespin wreath stacking them together like Jenga blocks. If you like a full printed one, you can use my idea from the style #2 and add your own creative flair by using just about anything that is flexible to wrap around your wreath. Want a cozy one? Then make a scarf/sweather wreath. These are all easy and affordable DIY wreaths that I have made for this past weeks. Watch the video below for all the full tutorials and steps and don't forget to thumbs up for all the hardwork (don't forget the mess) I have compiled for you. Remember we like to recycle so look around your house and turn those raw materials into beautiful wreaths!!!

Subtle Crimson

What he's wearing: Versini suit (jacket and pants), Dan Sen polo shirt, Cambridge Classics sweater vest, ECCO shoes
What I'm wearing: Zara Sweater, Choies full skirt, Nine West boots

Christmas is coming! Loving the tender crispy north winds as we walk around, gathering pinecones (for our Christmas table), admiring the scenery, & just walking to and fro admiring Christmas decors in the neighborhood. That's right, that's one thing we were doing in these pictures aside from taking photos and videos. We were just done with church and Christmas programs by this time too. Hubby bought a new sweater vest to keep him a tad warm. Don't be fooled, we might not have a white Christmas but it is still chilly here everyday. I adore the ensemble that hubby did so much - and he's planning to match more of his shirts just for this vest alone. I think it is preppy and adds a classic style to everyday's wardrobe. Paired with a jacket and you got yourself a sharp outfit for church, work, business meeting and such. A simple way to keep warm and stylish! I myself went simple for my favorite full skirt. Armed with tights, boots and a coat (waiting in the car) this is my simplistic subtle style.

Happy holidays!
