Red Black Spring | OOTD

What I'm wearing: Chaps top, Choies skirt, Shoemint heels and GUESS necklace

“A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous.”
― Coco Chanel

It was an awesome experience to have won a free trial from Choies. Every fashion blogger I know has worn their beautiful full skirts to chic tops and street style accessories. So it was an honor to wear their famous skirt – and a full skirt I must say. It came neatly packaged with the Choies plastic zip top and the product has the official Choies sewed brand and tag which I absolutely love because that means you are getting an authentic product from their company. The skirt itself was amazing, not only was it folded properly but judging from the fabric, lining and the sewing, I can tell firsthand that it was top notch quality. The style of my skirt has a layer effect of organza on top of a red and black irregular bubble pattern. It is perfect for that retro ball or swing party to attend to. Even if I am small, the skirt just reach down just above my ankles and the upper part can rest comfortably slightly above my waistline for an empire waist effect. The nice thing is I can always wear it lower than that for a nice gown style. I also love the sash in the skirt that can be worn as a ribbon or a side tie.

I wanted the skirt to show its full beauty so I just paired it with my simple lacey black top and bejeweled heels. I finished it off with gold paved link necklace for a little sparkle. Can I just say I'm obsessed with midi to full skirts right now. Probably for the whole spring and summer, I will be posting fun skirts in my OOTDs. Kudos to hubby for these awesome pictures!

Review: Petunia Skincare Premium Derma Roller

  • DERMA ROLLING WORKS! The skin naturally regenerates itself approx. every 28 days. With derma rolling you can encourage skin regeneration, meaning you are building new skin. This is great with lightening acne scars, dark spots and age spots as it can speed up the pace in which new skin is made to help blend to its surrounding skin. This tool will help build up dimply cellulite and stretch marks on the skin through collagen and elasticity production. Hair regrowth relies on genes that promote the growth of hair cells. The most important chemical needed in the body to promote new hair cells is human growth factor. Scientists suggest derma rolling can stimulate human growth factor. As the needles create holes along the hair line, it inflicts minor injury. Now the body must work to produce new skin the area that injured and release human growth factor and other chemicals that aid in the regrowth of thinning hair.

  • HIGHEST QUALITY MEDICAL GRADE STAINLESS STEEL! Petunia Skincare 200 Derma Roller is made with the highest quality surgical stainless steel available. Our stainless steel needles are medical grade, the same kind that doctors, surgeons, tattooists, and acupuncturists use! Don't waste money on cheap quality derma rollers made with titanium on the market. Stainless steel offers the least reactions to the skin. Think about it, would a surgeon ever use a titanium scalpel blade, or would a tattooist use a titanium needle? ABSOLUTELY NOT!

  • THE ULTIMATE ANTI-AGING DEVICE FOR ALL YOUR SKINCARE PRODUCTS! Our micro needle roller is the best compliment for all your skincare products such as serums, creams, and gels. Microneedling allows ingredients to be absorbed faster because pores are opened from the epidermis to the dermis layer. This tool is great to use with our Hyaluronic Acid Serum, and Vitamin C Serum. It is also compatible to use with cellulite and stretch mark creams, scar gels and hair regrowth treatments. Our microneedle roller can be used alone or with products.

  • GET TIGHTER, AND FIRMER SKIN! Recommended by The Doctors, the derma roller is the best and convenient alternative to popular cosmetic surgical procedures. The dermaroller has proven to stimulate collagen production, accelerate skin regeneration, build up pitted acne scars, reduce wrinkles, fade stretch marks, and cellulite! Collagen is often referred to "the glue that holds the body together". By derma rolling, you are essentially stimulating collagen in an area where there may not be any collagen productivity.

This will be my second time testing a derma roller and I can safely say that it is not scary at all nor hurtful. Indeed any needles can make us scream and screech at the top of our lungs and any invasive tool is a number one top horror filled object we can all say we've been scared of once in our lifetime. But rest assured, this beauty tool, scary as it looks imitates the feeling of stinging - like an after feeling of astringent, chemical peel or something like that. Though this is not for instant peeling but more on tightening pores, rejuvenating skin, massaging and many benefits for wrinkles and even scalp. I rather like the skincare ritual of rolling the stainless steel needles on the face and certain areas. It is relaxing (and ticklish at times) and doesn't hurt in the long run. It comes well packaged with its own container and plastic case. I like the rose gold color for the handle but upon closer look it looks like it was painted on which doesn't bother me at all. It is not metal, it is plastic to be light weight and easy to maneuver around.

Francois Et Mimi Soup Mugs Review | Vintage Tabletop

Hey everyone! Today's post is a review of a product sent to me from a French company. Plus some tips with the table top decoration I did.

Do you love vintage things? Do you like to have a hot bowl of soup in a fancy mug? Perhaps you love serveware that shows your inner whimsy because that's just what this Francois Et Mimi soup mugs is all bout - whimsical, soft and dreamy. Its appearance is what caught my eye aside from the function. It is of ivory colored stoneware, 20 oz with a wide mouth and a handle that stays cool and won't burn your hands. The fluer-de-lis design, though subtle, gives the hint of that minimal aristocratic look and is my favorite feature in this set. I personally like brighter tablewares and these are just so perfect for my apartment theme - I'm currently transforming dark furniture to lighter ones. It just makes sense if you live in a sunny state to have cheery colors that match the weather everyday. It's been quite wonderful to use this in so many ways other than soup. I think I have used this for pasta, rice bowl and just about anything! Looks easy to clean and durable in the dishwasher. No signs of any crack yet even though we almost use these everyday! For the tabletop decor I did, I played with height to showcase this set. This memory box with Parisian art played a great deal with its vintage flair for background style. I used fur as placemat just for this picture and not in real life. Flowers add a subtle hint of color even if they are in the back and to give a nice polish and depth. Lastly, I just used our crystals to in between spaces to add charm. :)

Soup mug: Francois Et Mimi
Vintage memory box: Marshalls (Punch Studio brand)
Crystal candleholders, coasters, salt and pepper shakers: Oleg Cassini
Fur: Joann's
Flowers: Wal-mart

Orange You Glad | 3rd Anniversary PHOTOS

What I'm wearing: Lea & Michelle dress, Shoemint heels, Runway On A Dime necklace and GUESS watch

What hubby is wearing: Polo Ralph Lauren shirt, IZOD pants, ECCO shoes, Nautica sunglasses and Beverly Hills Polo Club watch

Wondering why I named this "Orange You Glad"? Well, it's not about the color of the dress which is actually orange-ish in real life but more towards salmon pink. But rather its because we are in Orange County, California. That's right, we spent our 3rd anniversary there. Although it is just for a weekend, we like to actually spend our anniversary for the whole month! So until now we still are celebrating! Yes, that's a tradition we are keeping and practicing. For our stay in California, I briefly and quickly shopped at Ross for a dress that I could wear all day whilst exploring the city we are staying and its neighborhood. So I was aimlessly looking at dresses when this caught my eye. And why wouldn't it when this was the color I used for my wedding! Alas, a salmon pink so perfect for our getaway trip. So comfortable and stylish that it was just made for that day. I love the accent drape style it has that just flows to the side and a gold bar that completes the look of the dress together. I busted out a gold bow heel that I bought last year and haven't worn yet and finally worn it for the first time. Of course I have to use my flats again for walking and strolling but here you will see the beauty of it.

So we visited Titanic's artifact exhibition museum in Buena Park and kinda dilly dallied around the city a bit because we mostly relaxed and enjoyed. I really did enjoy the Titanic museum. And we talked about it for weeks! You really feel a connection to it after visiting that place. In fact, you can watch our vlog for that day below. We weren't allowed pictures but it was really great and beautiful inside like you were inside the Titanic! Overall, I enjoyed my time with my handsomely gentleman hubby and I thank God for 3 years of marriage. :)

I wish you all the best too if you are married and reading this or in the future when you will. Being married to the one you love is the best experience you will have. Not always a smooth road but when Christ is in between, you will always manage more than you expect.

Review: Mia Mariu Organic Essential Oils

Mia Mariu is Beauty and Health in Harmony
ALL NATURAL! It’s a complete line of botanical skin care, mineral makeup, nutritional
supplements, fragrances and essential oil blends using the finest ingredients in nature to help you illuminate your beauty from the inside out and from the outside in.

A relaxing way to end a tiring night is to massage my feet with an aromatic oil such as this Mia Mariu Organic Essential Oil in lavender. Ever since I received this in the mail, I have been using this and it never failed in healing my poor achy feet. Believe me I was surprised too. In the mornings, my feet would be back to normal ready to kick for another day. Not just your typical blah blah oil but it has that powerful aroma that I could smell whilst massaging my tired muscles. Ah lavender, my favorite scent of all time. Sniffing this puts me in a good mood. The oil is not too greasy which I am in favor of greatly. Just the right formula to easily spread around for a quick night in. The product came with company samples with their other products which is really good for their marketing and fun for me because I love trying out different products.
