1) Disinfect the Roller Head with Medical grade alcohol before and after each use. 2) Use alcohol or a cleanser to clean your skin before the micro-needle treatment. 3) Roll over the skin while applying slight pressure in horizontal, vertical and diagonal directions on each part of the treated area. Reduce speed and pressure while changing directions. 4) Apply a vitamin and mineral enriched skin care product such as a cream, serum or mask.

Love doing your own skincare treatment at home? Well I do so when I was asked if I would like to try this, I jumped into it! Without anything to compare it with and without any research prior to using this, I must admit I was pretty scared. The look of the needle seem to look large to me. Upon inspection, that is using my pointy finger and touching it, it actually didn't hurt (whew!). So then I decided this is not bad - if I don't put too much pressure then it wouldn't bleed and totally destroy my dermis. I'm all for skincare products that are topical but once it is invasive I prefer not to do it. However for this one, though they might be needles that are 1.00mm for me they are still topical because it acts as an aid for the skincare product to be absorbed fully. Good news is that it is suitable for all skin care types.

The packaging was efficient in a way that it was sanitary. The product is enclosed in its own plastic case where there is a rest for the head, a plastic post could be found in the middle of the case to lock the product and stop it from wiggling around inside and it closes and open easily with it's groove that runs around that easily inserts itself onto the base. Upon opening, the whole case is inside a bag of plastic - the kind which I often see during my nursing years which means it is safe, sterile and sanitary. The box also contained sufficient instructions on how to use the micro needle that makes it handy for first time users like me.

The product has a slim curve design that is perfect for handling. It enables to easily maneuver it around the face. Along with the case it, I think it is a perfect companion for traveling. The needle head rolls very smoothly without any problem so you can go fast or slow anytime you want. The needle themselves are perfectly aligned and even with the hyaluronic acid on my face it wasn't sticking too much and easy to change angles as instructed.

According to instructions, it is best to apply some Vitamin C or hydrating serum such as hyaluronic acid so the needle will be moving freely. I tried it in my wrist first and for sure without any moisturizer, the needles stick to my skin and slightly drag them. The application was indeed safe and was definitely not scary at all. Sometimes it was ticklish, other times it felt like it was stinging. I moved it up and down on an area and crisscross and I can see the lines when serum has dried. After the procedure, I felt slight stinging sensation which felt good. I also used this after shower so my pores were open. For the last step, I applied retinol serum and I felt a difference already. It was absorbed very fast and it felt smooth throughout the day.
