Hello everyone! It's been a while since I posted an OOTD blogpost and that's because we just moved and lacked internet for a  couple of weeks and above all that, still settling in! It was exciting and yes we are still here in SoCal, enjoying the sunny California weather. For this post, we went to Palm Springs in honor of the Memorial Day. A lot of people might say we picked the wrong day for it was very hot and we were just all very dehydrated. However, paying tribute to those who sacrifice for our country was well worth it. We watched fighting jets took off as well as dropping flowers in mid air. After that, we explored the whole museum by participating in the flight simulation, watching documentaries and reading all informative history. Be on the lookout for the vlog that I will be uploading on Youtube!

Valentia Even Glow Vitamin C Serum REVIEW

Valentia Even Glow Serum comes in a glass vial (1.18 fl.oz/35ml) with a dropper. It has 20% Vitamin C, an antioxidant treatment to brighten, protect and even skin tone reducing the appearance of aging. It is both alcohol and paraben free. The serum is a little bit thick but not too much and it has a sunset yellow color. It also has a fragrant citrus smell that I prefer than odorless.

Being it’s my first time to add Vitamin C from my normal skincare ritual, I noticed that my skin after a week is smoother to touch than without it. Just a small amount for overnight coupled with my Rite Aid Vitamin E Oil works wonders for my sensitive dry skin. Normally, I would just put moisturizer on my face and neck every night. But with the Vitamic C serum added to my moisturizer (Rite Aid Vitamin E oil), I feel more refreshed and confident in applying my makeup on for my dry patches don’t show up much during the day. I do love the fragrant citrus smell every night I dab it on my face, it’s so yummy my skin really loves it. There is a bit of a redness reaction after a couple of days but nothing that my Dickinson’sWitch Hazel toner cannot eradicate.

Living in Southern California’s desert doesn’t help me but according to the company, just give it time to eradicate toxins in our skin and evening of skin tone. I also opted to adjust my serum from everyday to 2-3 times a week to lessen irritation and give time for my skin to adjust.

According to the instructions, you just have to pat a few dabs of Vitamin C serum onto clean and toned skin and wait for it to dry before applying moisturizer.

Mystelic Beauty Nature's Best Vitamin C Serum REVIEW

Mystelic Beauty Vitamin C serum comes in a glass vial (1 fl.oz/30ml) with a dropper. The label says it is 99% naturally deriveved / 72% organic. It wasn’t tested on animals and it has certified organic ingredients such as the concentrated base of pure vegan hyaluronic acid to plump skin cells and protects and restore. Moreover, the serum is a concentrated delivery system for the highest form of active bio-available Vitamin C for beautiful skin. The serum is runny and has the appearance of rice water because of its cloudy appearance. The smell is not strong of Vitamin C, almost odorless.

The serum works well overnight with the moisturizer I am currently using (Rite Aid Vitamin E oil). What grabbed my most attention is I noticed that every morning I woke up, after that my skin has soaked in all the vitamins overnight, it is smooth to touch, renewed and refreshed. I also use it on my neck area for wider coverage and I’m glad it does the same. Although I have only been using this for a week, I have notice a change in the dry patches on my face. It has lessened and it’s less noticeable. My dry skin does come back since I live in a place with dry heat so I have to constantly stick to my regime.

Since this is the first time I have put Vitamin C in my regime, my skin reacted a bit. After a couple of days, I see some red spots on my face which weren’t there before. I do have a simple solution for this though, in my case, my trusty Dickinson’s Witch Hazel toner that calms them and make them less visible. I decided to use the Vitamin C serum 2-3 times a week and finally noticed the reactions quieting down just right for my skin to adjust. It does take time for Vitamin C to work on the face so I suggest to just continually applying it to remove toxins from our skin.

According to the instructions, you just have to pat a few dabs of Vitamin C serum onto clean and toned skin and wait for it to dry before applying moisturizer.
