Hello everyone! Now I will continue our adventure for the past few days. We're still having hangovers from our weekend getaway and what I mean about hangovers is we still remember all the good stuff we did and saw and visited! Its the 2nd day of our 2nd anniversary celebration and we decided to just stay in our hotel and also roam around the city where we are checked in just because my husband really needed the rest and relaxation. We decided to check in at Monterey Park since it is closer to Los Angeles. It was fun to know that it is a Chinese community and that there is a lot of seafood restaurants around. When we were driving around the city, I was in awe of how many Chinese signs I could see. It was kind of funny at the same time because we are in United States and I see different communities in short distance within each other. Well, that's how usually I react whenever we go to different communities like Korea Town in L.A. or Little Tokyo.
But let me tell you a little history with my outfit. I saw this Forever 21 dress on sale at Susie's Deals boutique close to where I live. It was a love-at-first-sight since I've been wanting to have like a comic book print piece. So the moment I saw it, I bought it already and even though it was a little short, adding leggings for modesty reason is always a good trick with this dress. It has a high-low bottom design but for this one, it's not flowing but rather the back is a separate black fabric as you can see in the pictures. My cardigan on the other hand has a black leather accent on the shoulders which makes it a good combination with it. The shoes I bought before I left for California and it was on sale for about $4 and the Sole Society purse which is my absolute go-to purse on a casual day was also on sale when I bought it.
For my husband's ensemble, we bought the shirt and pants at Steinmart, his new found favorite store. You can read his review here. Sean John sunglasses we scored at 1sale.com (MSRP $285, bought it for only $25) and his Converse sneakers were a gift from me during the holiday 2013. I am so glad that my hubby is starting to like to match outfits and even thanking me for influencing him to do it. He especially likes casual polo shirts for the hot Southern California. With a man like him, I've got everything I need in my life and I couldn't ask for more. :)
